Dr Kate Kennedy, Weinrebe Director of the Oxford Centre for Life-Writing, and author of Cello: A Journey Through Silence to Sound (2024), in conversation with Carla Shapreau, Senior Fellow at the UC Berkeley Institute of European Studies and Director of the Lost Music Project. Kennedy and Shapreau compare and contrast the different approaches of the life-writer and historian to the difficult issue of tracing instruments lost in the Holocaust.
